I went to college for information technology and was a computer network administrator before learning that my interest is in the creation of web content for marketing. After completing journalism and marketing school, I have written articles and produced videos for the start-up Jyrno.com and Boldtech.co. I’ve managed the content management system for MarketingZeus.com (WordPress) and Boldtech.co (Squarespace). And most recently, I was managing the creation process for email marketing campaigns with clients, graphic designers, and strategists. Now I’m interested in a new opportunity in marketing communications to target specific audiences (marketing materials, content strategy).
Email Marketing Analyst | TravelClick.com – Hospitality marketing & reservation solutions (Orlando, FL) 12/2014–06/2016
As an email marketing analyst, I reduced by half the amount of time spent to calculate and analyze the end-of-year measurable value totals for 1,000+ email campaigns that produced $12 million. I successfully simplified and documented a repeatable process for the team’s daily operations to support 3 and 6 days turnaround time. And switched from developing campaigns as tasks to managing each campaign as a project with collaboration from strategists, graphic designers, and with constant contact from B2C clients.
I collaborated with a team of creatives to develop the content marketing and organic client acquisition on Boldtech.co’s social media and website. My focus was on creating content for business owners and managers in health and wellness verticals (blog posts, presentations, case studies, email, web copy, social media, branded collateral).
As an associate editor intern, I created an editorial style guide and editorial calendar plan.
As an intern at Jyrno, I collaborated with a team of creatives to produce promotional video and podcast content to develop organic client acquisition on social media. My emphasis was on content creation for students in college majors related to journalism and communications.
My role as an IT leader, improved the help desk’s Service Level Agreement to a 90% satisfaction level. I reduced calls to the help desk by 20% by educating users with classroom training to improve the knowledge on productivity applications. I successfully composed business cases for the marketing team to persuade and sell ideas to management, which approved many new database developments and acquired equipment. Successfully migrated, on two occasions a computer network and desktop infrastructure.
